Corinna Seiter, Sales and Marketing Manager of the Pfänderbahn AG Bregenz

When there is already bustling activity early in the morning at the entrance to the Pfänderbahn, then Corinna Seiter can be sure that it is going to be one of those days in which the sun will show itself from its best side and hikers and holiday-makers will want to go up as quickly as possible: to the local mountain of the city of Bregenz - the Pfänder.
Whether families, senior citizens, couples or the classic hiker, most of them have the goal to float upwards in a gondola and to enjoy the spectacular view. Particularly athletic visitors also like to climb up the well-known mountain on foot.
Once one is up above, there are numerous hiking paths for active people, which begin with the easy circular routes, such as the “Käsewanderweg”, for example, and extends to the more strenuous mountaineering tours. Naturally, there are enough places to stop and rest, where visitors can enjoy the tasty Austrian specialities.
“In summer I can recommend in particular the birds of prey demonstration, during which the eagles, buzzards, owls and red kites fly directly over the heads of visitors. Guests of all ages are fascinated and enthused”, tells Corinna Seiter.
There is a special playground for the little ones, a bungee trampoline and an alpine wildlife park quiz, during which mama and papa can enjoy the nice weather and the view of the lake and mountains.
“It is so nice to see the satisfied visitors, who are already enthusiastic about the ride alone”, the Marketing & Sales Manager is pleased to report and knows that this is also the reward of her successful work. “We visit numerous trade fairs and events, also outside of the Lake Constance region and are naturally pleased to offer our guests something very special here.”
Especially in summer there are several events to be organised: weekly pleasure hikes, a look behind the facade of the Pfänderbahn – technical guided tours as well as the traditional Pfänder run. The event highlight in summer is the Summer Solstice Festival in June.
She also has a special tip when setting out: If you don’t have to be the first one to take the lift to the top, you can arrive comfortably with the boat, walk a short distance on foot, and then take the gondola to the top. “For this purpose, we have developed a combination-ticket with the boat operators - this saves visitors having to wait at the ticket office.”
Likewise, a trip to the Pfänder in the afternoon can be combined with an evening performance at the Bregenz Festival. “That is a very special experience. The stage has been built directly into the water and to watch the sunset shortly before the performance is almost “a bit corny”, she raves.
Corinna Seiter likes to market “her” Pfänder with lots of enjoyment and energy and is even sometimes referred to by friends as “Corinna Pfänderbahn”.
