The Überlingen World Field: The future begins on 2000 m²
The non-profit organization BiNELa stands for committed, high-quality educational work in the areas of sustainability, nutrition, and agriculture. We combine the qualities of ecological responsibility, social participation, practical knowledge, and education with joy.
Our passion project is the Überlingen Weltacker:
We are facing major challenges today and have the opportunity to overcome them:
Our planet's climate can be and remain hospitable if we take action now to preserve it.
The diversity of life is the key to the health of life. Our earth has the potential to regenerate its diversity if we now give it the space to do so and create new space to make this possible.
The earth currently offers enough fertile soil to feed 12 billion people and more! The decisive factor here is how we cultivate this soil today, so that it is preserved and improved.
On 2000 m², which in purely mathematical terms would be available to every person as fertile arable land, the Überlingen Weltacker (World Field) presents the most commonly grown crops in the world in a comprehensive and exciting open-air exhibition, thus making global agriculture tangible on a small scale.
The Überlingen Weltacker provides background information on global agriculture and many related topics at several themed stations. It highlights connections and encourages visitors to question the status quo.
Guided tours and workshops offer opportunities for discussion, lively experiences, further information, and options for action to make your own everyday life more sustainable.
The Überlingen Weltacker, the exhibition, the offerings, and the team have the ability to touch and move people, to inspire them and give them confidence.

Statement
"The Lake Constance region is an area that can be considered rich and a small paradise in many ways. The landscape is inviting, very diverse and characterised by small-scale and often organic farming. There are education and training opportunities at every level, which benefits the economy and tourism. What is special is that many initiatives strive to bring together a wide variety of stakeholders for the benefit of the region – such as the Lake Constance Four-Country Region. BiNELa also benefits from this fortunate situation and, with the lively Überlinger Weltacker experience field for education on sustainability, nutrition and agriculture, aims to contribute to preserving the diversity of this wonderful region."
