Statement

"‘The value chain does not end at a border.’ The Food Industry Competence Network (KNW-E) was launched in Switzerland at cantonal level (Thurgau) in 2011 and has been officially operating on an intercantonal basis (Thurgau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, St. Gallen, Schaffhausen, Zurich (Pro Zürcher Berggebiet)) since 2014 . BUT ... the KNW-E’s activities have never been confined to a specific geographical area; rather, it operates throughout Switzerland and internationally, for example in the four-country Lake Constance region (e.g. the International Straw Bale Arena – www.strohballenarena.info). After all, business and science do not stop at any border, even in the agricultural and food industries."
